UI in the battles from the Mario & Luigi series

I love the creative way they illustrate the battle options, other than only using regular box menus to pick an option. I love unorthodox ways to have battle UI, another example that I love is in Persona 5's battles, they just have so much personality to add to simple things 

inspiration no. 2

the visual style of games like Pizza Tower, Castle Crashers, and Steven Universe: Save the Light

i absolutely adore the sort of Courage the Cowardly Dog levels of craziness in these character designs, i also really like the pixely hand-drawn look of this game

the simple colors and shapes in the geometry and character designs in this game is something that i really enjoy, the sort of Paper Mario-inspired look of this game is awesome and i love it

i really like the cartoony, sort of flat drawing style in all of these games for the characters, it really adds a layer of expressiveness that i love, i also really like to draw cartoons so that's what ill probably go for when designing

inspiration no. 3 

the dialogue boxes and menu screens from Sonic Rush, WarioWare, Inc., and Persona 5

i really enjoy it when characters are in the screen alongside their dialogue, and this simple example is one of my favorites (plus it comes from one of my favorite sonic games)

i enjoy the simplicity in this menu while also loving the sort of desktop computery style

i really like the idea of these characters just hanging out in the menus while also having visual details that compliment who they are and what they might be selling at their respective shops/menus
